It All Happened in a Day

It only took one day for the Haitian gourde to drop to an exchange rate of 65 Gourdes to 1 U.S. dollar. What does this mean? It means that 3 months ago, we were able to feed 50 school children in Fowozoli, Haiti for $960 U.S. and now it costs us $1600. That's quite a chunk of money out of our small budget. We have a God who "owns the cattle on a thousand hills" (Psalm 50:10), and this was no surprise to Him, but it was a surprise to us. We are hoping this stabilizes and returns to its previous rate. We pray for God to open people's hearts to give so we can continue serving the children of Haiti.
